Ultimate Festive Wishlist 2020

Ultimate Festive Wishlist 2020, Sugar & Spice

And with that, my festive gift guides are all live, and my festive wishlist is now here!

I always feel the need to add a disclaimer to these posts, in case there are new eyes reading: –

These are not gifts that I am expecting to receive.  They’re merely items that have caught my eye, or that I’ve been eyeing up for some time.  Products I have previously loved and would love to own again, or items that I’ve been yearning after for a while.  I like sharing the things I am lusting after with you guys, as I know so many of you have similar tastes to me!

You can check out last year’s Christmas Wishlist HERE.

Ultimate Festive Wishlist 2020, Sugar & Spice

1.Esse Festive Gift Pack for Sensitive & Dry Skin R1165 from Esse – GUYS!  You know I attended an Esse event last week, and that I adore the products.  Their Sensitive Cleanser is my favourite of all their cleansers, and I adore the Nourish moisturiser for night time or in winter.  Plus, I’ve been testing the Resurrect Serum and it’s beautiful – anti ageing and hydration for sensitive skins.  This festive gift pack is beautiful, contains 2 full sizes and the 15ml serum is free.

2.Rose Jam Perfume R340 for 30ml from Lush – I adore the Rose Jam products from Lush, so now that they have a fragrance in the delicious smell, I’m so excited!  If it makes me smell like Turkish Delight, I’m in.

3.SKOON. Skinside Out All-In-One Beauty Smoothie (Breakouts) R549,95 from Faithful To Nature – SKOON. released these Beauty Smoothies recently, and while they all appealed to me, I’d really love to try the Breakouts one as it purifies and removes toxins from within.

4.Inoar Photoshop Treatment Mask R530 from The Beautiful Store – this hair mask sounds utterly divine, as it’s free from sulphates and parabens, plus it offers pH balancing, shine, nourishment and moisture!

5.Paco Rabanne Olympéa EDP R1065 for 30ml from Foschini for Beauty – I have loved this fragrance for ages, and have gone through a 30ml bottle of this and a 30ml of the Intense version too.  With top notes of green tangerine, salty vanilla, a heart of jasmine and gingerlily and a base of ambergris and cashmere wood, it’s feminine and utterly beautiful.

6.Pixi Glow Glycolic Boost Sheet Mask set of 3 R350 from Betty Online – it’s no secret that I’m a fan of the Pixi brand, and especially their glycolic line.  Plus, I adore sheet masks.  These promise to brighten and hydrate skin, so I’m all for it!

7.Vita Liberata Phenomenal Mousse in Medium R1250 from Skin Miles – you guys know that I’ve tested the Rapid Tanning Mousse from Vita Liberata, and that I adore it for a natural, golden tan.  I would LOVE to try out the Phenomenal Mousse now, as while you do need to leave it on for longer (4-8 hours instead of 1-3 like the Rapid Tanning Mousse), it lasts up to 2-3 WEEKS. Yes WEEKS!  I’d love to see just how long it lasts for, as if there is some way I can avoid having to self tan weekly, I’m in!

8.Skin Creamery Everyday All Over Cream R327,25 from Faithful To Nature – I’ve gone through a bottle of this glorious cream before, and sadly the bottle broke.  I’d love a new one, so then I can just use the refill afterwards.  I’m having a love affair with their Oil-to-Milk cleanser right now, and would love to have both of them as constant staples in my routine.  This cream smells absolutely delicious, is beautifully moisturising, and it can be used on face and body!

9.SKOON. Oh Sherbet! Azelaic Acid 10% Exfoliating Mask R579,95 from SKOON. – I have been DYING to try this mask out since Tori from KBT mentioned she’d worked with them on it.  It sounds superb – exfoliating, probiotic clay and the promise of super soft, clear skin.

10.Yog Nog Body Milk R285 for 240g from Lush – the Lush Yog Nog range is always my favourite at Christmas time.  They’ve had bath bombs, soaps, shower gel (which I still have about a third of a bottle of from last Christmas, and which I use sparingly, as I want it to last all of this festive season), and now body milk.  Sweet, spicy and smells like Christmas to me!

11.Skin Bar Jade Roller & Gua Sha set R695 from Chick Cosmetics – I own a jade roller and love it, it’s fantastic for depuffing skin, an amazing facial massage, and I enjoy rolling it over sheet masks to help the serum absorb for maximum glow.  My roller needs replacing though, and I’ve been very keen on getting a gua sha too, so this set is perfect!

Ultimate Festive Wishlist 2020, Sugar & Spice

1.#Squiish beauty sponge R150 from Swiitch Beauty – my beauty blogger friends who’ve tried this say it’s one of the best beauty sponges they’ve tried.  I am DYING to test it out and see if it’s just as soft and squishy, and great for blending foundation as it claims to be.

2.By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder R970 from Metro Cosmetics – I am crazy for the By Terry brand, as everything I’ve tried from them has been amazing.  This is a powder, but a hydrating, skin plumping one – does that not sound like perfection??

3.Elizabeth Arden Party Ready Holiday Collection 12pc set R1495 from Superbalist – the ultimate gift for the beauty junkie! This collection contains skincare and makeup, as well as brushes and a beautiful vanity case.  A full size Advanced Ceramide Capsule jar, 7 Retinol Ceramide Capsules, 7 Advanced Ceramide eye capsules, a face palette, 2 eye palettes, 2 lipsticks, their divine Grand Entrance mascara (the mascara that changed my opinion on higher end mascaras), a face brush, an eye brush and a beautiful red vanity case!  How absolutely gorgeous is this????

4.Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Stick Foundation R605 from Foschini for Beauty – I am on my second bottle of the Teint Idole Ultra foundation, and I am obsessed.  It’s beautiful coverage, lasts all day long and leaves my skin looking fresh and flawless.  I’ve heard great things about the stick version, so I’d love to try it out!  I’d just need to get shade matched – I’m shade 01 in the liquid version, but the stick foundation seems to be different.

5.E.L.F Bite-Size Eyeshadow in Hot Jalapeno R140 from Betty Online – I’m on the lookout for some more greens in my eyeshadow collection, and this little bite size palette is cute!  The pigmentation in these is apparently awesome too.

6.Too Faced Lip Injection Tasty Trio Set R850 from Muse Beauty – Too Faced do some truly beautiful festive sets, and this is one of them!  3 shades of their plumping lip gloss, in the original clear, Pumpkin Spice and Christmas Cookie.

7.#BeachBrow brow mousse in shade Two R150 from Swiitch Beauty – I adore these brow mascara formulas that are super fast to use, but tint, fill in and plump up brows, as well as keep them in place.  Apparently this Swiitch one is amazing!

Ultimate Festive Wishlist 2020, Sugar & Spice

1.Blue Willow Boutique Long Satin Robe R1100 from Blue Willow Boutique online – yes, the gorgeous Kayoss has featured on my wishlist lol!  These long satin robes are exquisite, and enough to make any girl feel like an old Hollywood movie star.  So OBVIOUSLY I would love to own one!  It comes if 4 different shades, all equally gorgeous, and you can pay an extra R100 to have it embroidered too.

2.Trina Tiered Dress R599 from Old Khaki – I haven’t jumped on the tiered dress trend yet as I worried it wouldn’t suit my shape, but I realised if I just nip it in a little at the waist with a thing leather belt, it could work for me.  I love this airy white polka dot dress and like that the neckline is a little lower too – a bit more flattering for chesty gals like myself.

3.Anna Safari Shift Dress R690 from Bena Woman – how beautiful is this dress?  I love the casual shift style, and the print is so my current vibe.  I adore the pattern and the colours.

4.Rare Earth Kris Heel in Black 1039,20 (marked down from 1299) from Poetry – I have a pair either exactly the same as these or ever so slightly different in a tan shade, and they’ve basically become the only heels I wear!  Super comfortable and great quality, I really need a black pair to add to my collection, as they’ll go much better with certain outfits.

5.Trenery Blurred Leopard Print Top R899 from Trenery at Woolworths –  I adore animal print, and the style of this top is so versatile, as it can be dressed up or down.  So beautiful and the quality of Trenery clothing is exceptional – I have a cashmere knit and I adore it!

6.Sequin Wrap Dress R1200 by Kathrin Kidger – I love sequins, and wrap dresses are becoming a constant in my wardrobe.  They’re so flattering to my shape, and this sequinned dress is just exquisite – perfect for any festive occasion.

7.iPanema Mais Tiras Fem Sandals R199 from Foschini – iPanema are one of my favourite brands of slops and sandals, as they are just SO comfy.  These look perfect for beach days or casual outfits.

8.Tomy Takkies Alaina White platform sneakers R339 from Zando – my Tomy Takkies are legit my most comfy sneakers.  I own 3 pairs, and that grey and white pair specifically is the best!  I’d actually love that pair in plain white (to pair with dresses), but they don’t seem to do any, so these would be my next bet as they’re so so pretty!

9.Gold Christmas Charm Hoop Earrings R160 from Lovisa – how cute are these??? I always have a festive pair of earrings to wear on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and these would make the most wonderful addition to that collection.

10.Cotton On Waffle Long Sleeve Top R349 and Waffle Long John R349 from Cotton On – I love these pjs, they’re SO Christmassy, yet they can totally be worn during the winter too, as they have a classic winter pattern on them.

11.Lilly Wrap Dress R1490 from Danielle Frylinck – how absolutely beautiful is this print?  I love the more neutral colour palette, and the wrap style is my absolute favourite.

12.Classic Silky Short Pajama Set in Forest R840 from Bena Woman – I’ve always wanted a set of silky pjs, and with green being my favourite colour, this deep forest green set is SO up  my alley!  So luxurious.

Ultimate Festive Wishlist 2020, Sugar & Spice

1.Faux Fur Scatter Cushion R299 from Woolworths – I have a beautiful faux fur rug for my office, which is all in white, soft natural wood and I plan on including some blush accents.  This cushion comes in pink and a natural nude, so either would work, maybe even one of each!

2.Country Road Dinner Plates from Woolworths – I seem to not be winning with Woolies links, as this was on their site just last week!  I’m hoping that some can still be found in store, as I love this terazzo style design, and would love to have a set of plates in it!

3.Cards Against Humanity R1599 from Takealot – I know board games are pricey, but I can’t seem to find this game for cheaper anywhere!  HOWEVER, that being said, this game is some of the most fun I’ve had playing a game ever.  Absolutely hilarious and I’m dying to get my own set!

4.Ego Champagne Glass R79 each at @Home – I own ZERO champagne glasses.  We have plenty of tumblers, red wine glasses, high balls and gin goblets, but for the life of me, no bubbly glasses!  And you know your girl loves some bubbles.  So I think this needs to be rectified, and these have the most beautiful, elegant shape to them, exactly what I want!

5.Summer Vineyard Classic Candle R320 from Cape Island – these Cape Island candles are SO beautiful.  I love this white and gold one for my office, and the fragrance sounds delightful – neroli, ylang-ylang, fresh fig leaf and petitgrain.

6.MACAROON page a day 2021 diary in Wild Mint R700 from Macaroon – I love to be organised, and always have a diary.  Having a page-a-day diary makes to do lists that much easier, and this mint animal print is just gorgeous.

7.Rose Gold Satin Pillow Slip R200 from Dear Deer – you guys know by now that the Dear Deer brand is my brand of choice when it comes to satin products.  I keep hoping they’ll launch some gorgeous gowns and pjs!  I have a few sets of pillowcases for our different linens, but my mom recently gifted us a set of dark blue Egyptian cotton bedding, and I think the rose gold satin will look beautiful with it!

Ultimate Festive Wishlist 2020, Sugar & Spice

1.Lakrids by Bülow Classic Salt & Caramel Chocolate Coated Liquorice R370 for 295g from Beautiful Age – I found this brand while browsing Instagram one day, and then remembered I’d seen them mentioned in an episode of Andrew Zimmern’s Bizarre Foods.  I am a BIG liquorice fan, and love it both sweet and salty.  These are truly gourmet sweets, and come in a number of different flavour combinations.  The Salt & Caramel is one of their festive collection, and is soft sweet liquorice and caramelized dulce chocolate with crispy sea salt flakes.  Everything my heart desires in a candy!

2.Bitchin’ Spirits Impish Elves Gin R250 from Bitchin’ Tees – how gorgeous is this sparkly gold gin, that’s gluwein flavoured?  So completely and utterly festive!  I’ve been so impressed with their gin so far, I’d love to add more to my collection.  Plus, if you use my code ‘sugarspice10’ you’ll get 10% off all gins and gin subscription boxes – I may be taking advantage of my own code soon!

3.Garlic & Herb Tear & Share Bread Mix R229.99 from Woolworths – I adore these festive kits from Woolies, as the containers they come in are amazing to add to my kitchen after I make the bread.  We actually have a white enamel pot from Easter that we adore!

4.Leonista Honey Reposado R507 from Cybercellar – I’m a big tequila fan (sometimes to my own detriment), and I love that the Leonista tequilas are certified organic and made from 100% Karoo agave.  This is the honey reposado, a golden delight infused with wild Cape honey.  YUM!

5.Six Dogs Honey Lime Gin R450 from Six Dogs – this is the latest offering from Six Dogs, and it sounds like the ULTIMATE summer beverage!  Made from honey from the hives of rescued bees, and home-grown limes, this gin is sure to be a hit!

6.Poetic License Fireside Spiced Gin R399 from Poetic License – I recently tried the Strawberries and Cream gin from Poetic License and it is DIVINE!  Smooth, subtle and all-natural flavourings.  My friend Nicola tells me that this one is even more delicious that the Strawberries and Cream version, and I am crazy for spiced gins, so I think I need to add this to my collection.
