Can you actually believe it’s that time of year again? Time for my festive gift guides to start showing up? I cannot.

With the fact that 2020 has basically been a write-off of a year, a lot of people aren’t even thinking about gifts this festive season.ย  Unfortunately the pandemic has left a great deal of people in a bad place (mentally, physically, financially etc).

However, if you are looking at still doing the usual Christmas gifting, I’ve put together a selection of offers for you.ย  Many of these sites are having Black Friday sales, some of which have already started, so I wanted to get this up for you as close to Black Friday as possible – that way you can save some cash and still spoil the men in your lives.

There are items in here from all different price ranges, and I will be doing a gift guide for R150 and under if you’re strictly looking for more affordable gifts this festive season.ย  That will be out before the end of the week.

Have you seen my previous posts?ย  I do these gift guides every year, check out last year’s one below: –

Christmas Gift Guide For Him 2019

FESTIVE FASHION GIFTING

FESTIVE GIFT GUIDE FOR HIM

1.Old Khaki Ethan T Shirt R350 from Old Khaki – Old Khaki make some really great quality clothes.ย  If you’re unsure what to get him, this is a nice, simple tee.

2.Fossil Bronson Smoke Watch R3999 from Superbalist – Fossil really make some of the best watches in the business.ย  This is one heck of a beautiful watch, one I’m sure my hubby would love.

3.Old Khaki Alfonzo Swim Shorts R282 from Old Khaki – these are currently marked down from R399 on their November Black Friday sale, so you save over R100! Lovely colour and pattern too, but they have others if this isn’t to his taste.

4.Havaianas Brazil Logo olive green slops R329 from Superbalist – I know a lot of people say that the Havaianas are just so expensive for a pair of slops (and they are!), but they are legit the most comfortable slops I’ve ever owned.ย  I bought hubby a pair for his birthday and he agrees.

5.Asics Tiger Gel-Quantum 90 sneakers R1199 from Superbalist – a great pair of sneakers is always a fab festive gift.ย  These Asics ones are simple, yet trendy too.

6.Levi’s Wayfarer Sunglasses 51-17-145 R2275 from Superbalist – Hubby had a pair of wayfarer style sunnies that he loved.ย  Thank goodness they were cheapies, as Luna chewed them as a pup!ย  I know he’d love a new pair, and I’m sure many men would love these – simple, yet stylish.

7.Adidas Globe Trucker R349,99 from The Pro Shop – my husband will ONLY wear trucker caps, and this looks ideal.ย  Stylishly all-black, with mesh sides and the Adidas logo.

8.Puma Speed Sutamina sneakers R1234 from Superbalist – the splash of yellow in these otherwise black and white Pumas is really fun, and they’re currently marked down on Superbalist from R1899!

9.Nixon Sentry 38 Leather Brown Gator Watch R3299 from Superbalist – for some men, a leather watch strap is preferable to metal.ย  This brown leather one is very classy, and pairs well with the silver finishings and simple face.

10.Levi’s Ama olive polo R224 from Superbalist – this was originally R449, marked down on Superbalist’s Black Friday sales.ย  My hubby loves his golf style shirts, and I know many gents do.ย  This olive colour is really lovely, and has the classic Levi’s logo on the chest.

FESTIVE LIFESTYLE GIFTING

FESTIVE GIFT GUIDE FOR HIM

1.Hugo Boss Bottled Tonic EDT R1525 for 100ml from Woolworths – a fragrance is always a nice festive gift, and this Hugo Boss one smells fresh, with notes of citrus, spices and wood.

2.Callaway Men’s Black Leather Golf Glove R199,98 from The Pro Shop – if he’s a golfer, a new leather glove can’t go amiss.ย  And let’s be honest – all these gents that have been working hard, will take the festive season to practice their swing!

3.Man Stand Organiser & Charging Station R749 from Mantality – I’m pretty sure I added this in a previous gift guide, but it’s SO useful.ย  Smooth wood to hold all of your accessories and charge your phone!

4.Trust Gaming Bundle R1799 from Incredible Connection – a keyboard, mouse, mousepad and headset, all for the gamer.ย  This would make a lovely festive bundle for a gamer.

5.Esse Gel Cleanser R465 from Esse online Pop-Up Store – I know quite a few gents who absolutely love using this deep cleansing gel, as it doesn’t leave skin dry, and also feels fresh and tingly on the skin.ย  Esse also have some awesome festive bundles available, so if he likes his skincare then one of those would be a great bet.

6.Country Road Beach Towel from R349 Woolworths – a good quality beach towel is a lovely gift if he spends a lot of time by the pool or the beach.ย  Country Road make some of the most beautiful beach towels.

7.Victorinox Huntsman pocket knife R999 from Cape Union Mart – my hubby has a multitude of pocket knives and multi tools, and is always looking for more.ย  The wood finish on this one is beautiful, and it has so many different parts to it.

8.Razer Mamba Elite Wired Mouse R1999 from Incredible Connection – the gamer needs a mouse that can scroll quickly and efficiently, yet still be comfortable to hold.

9.Powerball 5pc Grip Kit R395 from Mantality – a nice little set for hand, wrist and forearm strength, great if he’s into fitness.

10.John Varvatos 3pc gift set R1580 from Superbalist – fragrance gift sets are always a great idea, for gifting any time of year.ย  This comes with a 125ml EDT, a 17ml travel EDT and a 15ml Artisan Pure EDT.ย  A lovely spoil.

FESTIVE DRINKS GIFTING

FESTIVE GIFT GUIDE FOR HIM

1.Woodford Reserve Distiller’s Select R399 from Barkeeper – the hubby’s favourite bourbon, and with good reason.ย  You can’t go wrong with a bottle of Woodford Reserve as a gift any time of year.

2.The Kraken Black Spiced Rum R364 from Cybercellar – I have been curious about this for a long time.ย  The packaging is beautiful, and being a spiced dark rum, it sounds like it’ll be delicious too, a great gift for the rum-drinker.

3.Bains Single Grain Whisky R309 from Barkeeper – this is a proudly South African whisky, and it’s absolutely delicious.ย  In fact, it’s even my brother-in-law’s favourite.

4.Jagermeister R269,99 from PnP Liquor – I feel like, regardless of age, Jager is always an appreciated gift.ย  Even my dad loves Jagermeister!

5.Copper Republic Bourbon Cask Finish Single Grain Whisky R749 from Bottlestore – I saw this as a newer release from Copper Republic (we reviewed their gins a short while ago on Instagram), and was thrilled, as it’s bourbon cask finished!ย  I’d love to get this for Hubby to try.

6.Leonista Reposado R507 from Cybercellar – this is a locally-made, certified organic tequila.ย  Sounds ideal right? As a tequila lover myself, I am absolutely dying to try the Leonista brand.ย  Made with 100% Karoo agave, it’s a drink not to be missed.

7.Mad Giant Killer Hop R89 for 4 from Barkeeper – we actually sampled this beer at a restaurant that has since closed down.ย  I still remember the waitron suggesting we try it, and Hubby and I being absolutely wowed at how good it was.ย  South Africa produces some truly sensational craft beers, and this is one of them.ย  It’s a pale ale, so if that’s his jam, then I highly suggest this.

8. Prohibition Spirits Easy Company Craft Brandy R250 from Bitchin Tees – this company has an array of wonderful spirits, from the Prohibition offerings to the flavoured and shimmery gins.ย  This Easy Company craft brandy would be a lovely way of supporting a local brand during the festive season, while indulging in a great craft spirit.
