Ultimate Christmas Wishlist

Finally – my last of the festive guides and lists.  My ultimate Christmas wishlist!

I always have a list of goodies that I’ve been lusting after, items I’ve wanted to add to my collection, whether it be for the first time, or as a repurchase because I enjoyed them SO much the first time.

I always add this disclaimer, as I don’t want anyone to get the wrong idea – this is PURELY a list of products I’d love to own.  I do not EXPECT these as gifts for Christmas or at any other time.  These posts are a way of showing readers the kinds of things one has been lusting after or yearning for, nothing more.  I love reading wishlist posts, as it’s a way into seeing the kinds of things that people love and wish for.  They’re also a great way of bringing attention to brands or products that some people might not have even heard of before.  It’s essentially another way of window shopping!

First off, here are my top picks from the Lush Christmas collection.  I wanted to start with these, as there are (as usual) a lot that I love from Lush, particularly their festive collection, so these got their

Ultimate Christmas Wishlist - LUSH

1.Yog Nog naked body conditioner (R145) – This smells like delicious spices and custard, and better than that, it’s packaging free!

2.Yog Nog shower gel (R110) – I’m actually halfway through a small bottle of this, and by golly I need to actually get the big one!

3.Cinnamon Orange bath oil tablet (R115) – Some of the best Christmas scents, and in a beautiful tablet that you can either swish through the water or break off chunks to use seperately.

4.Snow Fairy shower gel (R90) – I’ve been through many of these, and I hope to go through many more.  It smells like candy floss and that scent lingers!

5.Lush Polar Bear Plunge bubble bar (R69.50) – How adorable is this little guy?  I don’t know if I’d even be able to use him!

6.Lush Cookie Dough body scrub (R195) – I 100% blame Make it Rayne for this one!  This apparently smells to die for.

Ultimate Christmas Wishlist - BODY/HAIR/BEAUTY

1.Lush Rose Jam body spray (R395 from Lush) – This smells like heaven guys! And ever since my pup ate my Argan naked facial oil that smells JUST like this (she’s fine, the naughty pup) I’m dying to just spray my body and my room with this delicious scent.

2.Ellips Pink Hair Repair vitamins (R289 for 50 on their site/at selected Clicks stores) – I adored all of the single dose capsules of hair serum from Ellips, but this pink ones were by far my favourite.  I really need to get my hands on some more!

3.Jo Malone London Wood Sage & Sea Salt candle (R950 from Woolworths) – I love the Wood Sage & Sea Salt fragrance from Jo Malone, it’s fresh and clean and all-round gorgeous.  I really need to make an effort and try out some of their other scents.

4.Lush New hair treatment (R130 from Lush) – A hot oil treatment that smells like cinnamon? YES!

5.Vita Liberata Rapid Self Tanning Mousse (R985 on their site) – I have now tried one product from Vita Liberata, and I was so impressed with it that I’m now determined to try their self tanners!  This one sounds right up my alley.

6.Vita Liberata Self Tanning Mitt (R180 on their site) – And, if you’re going to use a great quality self tanner, you need the mitt to go with it.  This ensures the tanner goes on perfectly!

7.Clinique Moisture Surge lip treatment (R255 on Takealot) – How divine does this hydrating lip treatment sound?  Plus it’s so prettily packaged!

Ultimate Christmas Wishlist - SKINCARE

1.Optiphi Refine-Foliant (R770 from Skin Miles) – Legit the best chemical exfoliator I have EVER used, this is insanely gentle, yet you feel a difference after just one use.  I finished up my last little blue bottle of this precious liquid, and almost shed a thttps://skinmiles.com/product/optiphi-refine-foliant/ear.  But – it’s been repackaged and I’m DYING to get my hands on a new bottle.

2.Clinique More Than Moisture delux set (R528 from Superbalist) – I adore the Clinique Moisture Surge range, it’s perfect for thirsty skin, and I’ve been through MULTIPLE jars of the infamous gel-cream.  This kit is incredible, as it contains the infamous 72-hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator (ADORE), along with their Overnight Mask (LOVE), the new 96-Hour Hydro-Filler Eye Concentrate (been dying to try) and their Thirsty Skin Relief Face Spray (dying to try even more)!  Nice travel sizes too, which I love!

3.Esse Hyaluronic Serum (R360 from Esse stockists) – This is the latest release from Esse and one I am VERY interested in trying.  I make it my mission to try out as many hyaluronic acid based serums as possible, as I have dehydrated skin, and after loving all the Esse products I’ve tried, I’m sure I’ll love this one!

4.Filorga NCTF Essence (R640) – A hydrating, radiance boosting essence that you squeeze in between toner and serum application.  I love my skincare routine, it’s my favourite step of my self care routine, and this sounds superb! And you guys know how much I love this brand!

5.Esse Sensitive Cleanser (R425 on Faithful to Nature) – I had a mini tube of this in my KZN Meetup goodie bag, and I have been using it as my travel cleanser.  It smells to die for and is super gentle, plus it’s really good at cleansing, even removing makeup!  I really want to get a full size now.

6.By Terry Baume de Rose Flaconette (R705 from Metropolitan Cosmetics) – This is the infamous pot of lip balm, in a tube and with an applicator.  The most luxe lip balm I’ve EVER used – pricey, but an amazing gift (whether it’s to yourself or for a loved one).

7.Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Great Eight Daily Defence Moisturiser (R425 at Foschini) – With a broad spectrum SPF 35, I’ve heard amazing reviews on this moisturiser, especially from good friends of mine who have similar skin types to me.  It has 8 amazing benefits, and with the standard that Elizabeth Arden offers, I have no doubt I’ll fall head over heels in love.

8.Filorga Skin Perfusion Hyaluronic Youth Mask (R830 for 4 on The Beautiful Store) – These sound like the most luxe sheet masks ever, and I’m a sheet mask ADDICT.  Amazing for before a special event!

Ultimate Christmas Wishlist - MAKEUP

1.Smashbox Cosmic Celebration Artist Brush Set (R1500 on Superbalist) – 5 beautiful festive Smashbox brushes – who could say no?

2.Optiphi Plumping Perfector (R350 from Skin Miles) – I’m so obsessed with gloss right now, and one that is a treatment at the same time is so up my alley.  If you use this consistently, it increases hydration in the lips and it creates a plumper, fuller pout.  I’m so crazy about this brand that I can’t get enough of their products.

3.Smashbox Studio Skin Full Coverage 24 Hour foundation (R590 on Superbalist) – I saw a video of Chloe Morello’s using this, and while I’d already had it on my radar, that video convinced me that I NEEDED to try this foundation. It sounds amazing!

4.Filorga Flash Nude Powder (R480 on The Beautiful Store) – I adore the Filorga Flash Nude Fluid foundation, so much so that I bought a second bottle when my first one that was gifted ran out.  I’d love to try the powder too, as with summer being here in full force, I’m finding I need to set and blot my skin more frequently.

5.Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette (R1450 from Muse Beauty) – I have so long wanted to own one of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting palettes.  They can be used to set your whole face for a fresh glow, as they’re not as shimmery as a powder, but aren’t a flat matte.  They also create a soft focus effect on your skin, so you just look fresh, flawless and glowy.

6.Benefit Cheek Champions (R430 on Superbalist) – 5 individual minis of Benefit cheek products! I already own Hoola and Dandelion in my Cheekleaders palette and I adore them.  However it’s a bit bulky for travel, especially if I’m just going away for a night or a weekend.  These are ideal for travelling, and I’d get to try 3 shades I haven’t before!

7.By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder (R830 on Metropolitan Cosmetics) – A face powder that not only sets makeup and smooths pores and fine lines, but one that hydrates too?  Why yes, I DO need that in my collection!

8.MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle (R515 on Superbalist) – This is the one highlighter I’ve had on my list longer than I can remember, but that I still desperately want after all this time.

9.Stila Beauty Boss lip gloss in Golden Parachute (R260 on Superbalist) – As I mentioned I’m kind of gloss-crazy at the moment, and I would love to try these new glosses of Stila’s.  This shade looks beautiful!

10.Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look face & eye palette (R1650 from Muse Beauty) – Charlotte Tilbury products are known for being pricey and super luxurious.  This would be an AMAZING product for travelling with, and you can do so much with it!

Ultimate Christmas Wishlist - FASHION

1.Sweetpeas Handmade Havana sandals (R699 on their site) – I LOVE these.  I’ve been a fan for a while actually but I never knew what this style would look like on me, until I tried on a similar pair one day.  Now I KNOW I love them on me as well, so I’d love to own my own pair of Sweetpeas!

2.Superga animal print sneakers (R899 in stores and online) – Love me some Supergas, and I love me some leopard print.  So these are SO on my wishlist.

3.Anna-Louise Sleepwear travel set (R500 on their site) – How darned comfy do these look?? Perfect for spending time watching Netflix with a soft blanket and some tea!

4.Saint & Summer Luxe sandals (currently R299 on sale on their site) – Lightweight jelly sandals with beautiful rose gold studs.  Lovely pair of sandals for summer!

5.Blu Betty Ché Diesel sandals (R850 on their site) – I adore the Blu Betty shoes, but the closed ones just don’t look right on me.  These, however will work wonders on my feet, and they’re so so gorgeous!

Ultimate Christmas Wishlist - HOME

1.Berlinger Hause 3 litre Stainless Steel stovetop kettle (R319 on Takealot) – Hubby and I are on the hunt for a gorgeous stove top kettle, as once we move into our new place we’ll be off the grid.  With a gas stove, what better way to boil water than in this beautiful emerald green kettle?

2.Cilka’s Journey by Heather Morris (R209 from Takealot) – This is the sequel to The Tattooist of Auschwitz, which I listened to on Audible and loved!

3.Defy 20 litre Manual Microwave (R989 from Game) – We don’t need any fancy microwaves that ‘do it all’, just a basic one from a good brand.  And Defy is one of those brands I trust!  I also love the metallic finish.

4.Instant Pot Duo Smart Cooker (R1699 from @home) – I’ve been hearing so many things about how wonderful these Instant Pot’s are, and being a lover of food-related appliances, I’d like to put it to the test!

5.Poetry green marble and brass coasters (I can no longer find them on the Poetry site, but you can find others HERE) – I love these coasters, and I’m trying to keep dark green a theme in our new house.  Sadly, I can’t find these online anymore, but I’m sure you could find them instore!

Ultimate Christmas Wishlist - FOOD/DRINK

1.The Salt Journey (R225 from Poetry) – We tried smoked salt in here on our braai meat at my sister-in-law’s a while ago, and since then Hubs and I have been dying to have our own set of these delicious salts!

2.Ma Mère Jingle Bells Box (R485 on their site) – Ma Mère make AH-mazing nougat, so I’m 100% sure their other candies and snacks will be just as delicious!

3.Lindt Hello Pretzel Snack Bites (R59.99 from Woolworths) – I’ve been so keen on tasting these, ever since they launched!  Knowing Lindt, they’ll be AMAZING!

4.Inverroche Amber Gin (R385 on Takealot) – I love all of the Inverroche gins, but I have to say that the Amber is my favourite.  It has a richness that nothing can compare to!

5.Delish Sister’s Tasty Food Made With Love recipe book (R209 from Takealot) – I adored the Delish Sister’s right from when they had a stand at the old Granada Square market, and made the most amazing lamb naan wraps.  I love getting recipe books, and this year, this is my top pick!

6.Cadbury Glow Chocolates (R109 from Clicks) – I love these simple, yet delicious chocolates from Cadbury’s.  Who can say no to chocolate anyway!

So – are any of these items on your wishlist?
