I’m sure if you read my previous skincare series – both the Skincare Secrets (the Cleanser post and the Toner post), and the Budget Friendly Skincare post, you’ll know that I discovered a KILLER skincare brand this year – Beaucience.
Beaucience make the most gorgeous products for the entire body, designed to provide anti-ageing benefits. They all contain the breakthrough botanical Proteasyl, which is unique to Beaucience. Proteasyl works to naturally create younger looking skin – something we all want! Products are not tested on animals, and contain no nasties (no parabens, toxins or synthetic oils). Beaucience has facial skincare, body products AND hair care!
What is incredible about the brand, is that you can get different ranges – Botanicals, Naturals, Professional and For Men! I’ve been putting to the test a number of products from the Botanicals range, and even Hubby had a job to do – as he’s been trying out one of the Men’s moisturisers.
I’ve done a short review of each of the products I’ve had the pleasure to trial for you – so you can see what the brand is like and get a feel for it. And then, at the end of this post, you can enter a giveaway to win a skincare hamper for yourself!
This is probably the best cleansing gel I’ve used. I’m not usually a fan of gel-formulations when it comes to cleansing – even though I have combo skin, I find the leave my skin feeling tight and stripped. I don’t like the ‘squeaky clean’ sensation as it dries out your skin.
This cleansing gel, however, is soap free and contains delicious natural ingredients that will treat your skin gently – aloe vera, peach, organic green tea, Proteasyl and witch hazel. I love using this as a morning cleanser due to how gentle it is – yet trust me, it can remove your face makeup like a bomb too. It also smells absolutely delicious, a really lovely natural scent.
Let me put it this way – when I received this cleansing gel (and the following product, the toner) in PR, I neglected to check the prices. I used them without knowing how much they cost, and fell absolutely head over heels, thinking they were pretty luxurious in quality. Blown away that both cost under R100.
I use this toner mist almost every single day (either in the morning, the evening or both). In fact, I kind of neglected my other face mists for a while, as I was so obsessed with this.
The spray is lovely and gentle, and the toner itself is so soothing and hydrating – not oily at all, yet it leaves this beautiful layer of hydration on my skin that I’ve seldom experienced with other mists (and even then, only high end ones).
The formula contains a beautiful blend of witch hazel, chamomile, aloe vera and peach (as well as Proteasyl), and it also has anti-inflammatory properties.
Please excuse this photo – my phone that had all my original images on died during the first stage of lockdown, and the tube looks a bit worse for wear now, so this is as good as it gets.
I was trialling a different day cream at the time this arrived, so it found it’s way into my Hubby’s side of the bathroom cabinet. He is so difficult when it comes to using skincare – this man uses a bar of soap to wash his face, and when I met him he didn’t even use a moisturiser every day. I was so impressed that he used this, and was really happy as it has the added SPF. He really liked that it wasn’t overly greasy, but that it hydrated his skin.
I switched it back to my cabinet when the men’s day cream arrived, and wow! I really enjoy it even for my combo skin, it really is very hydrating and feels lovely to apply. The texture is very thick, yet it isn’t greasy or sticky at all. I do of course top it up with my regular SPF 50, but if I ran out of sunscreen I’d be happy to finish this before purchasing a higher factor.
You also get a free bottle of the below hand sanitiser in the box!
I’ve been really impressed with this sanitiser, and keep it in my handbag. It’s a moisturising formula that doesn’t feel sticky on the hands, dries down nicely – and the bottle doesn’t squirt out 10 doses at once, you can really control how much squeezes out.
I’m sure most of you know that I’ve been on the hunt for great hydrating serums. Not that this is sold exclusively as that, but it is beautifully hydrating!
A stunning gel consistency, it sinks into the skin like a dream, leaving a gentle layer of hydration on the surface. I love the way it is so easy to massage into my skin too – a lot of products require a lot of product to spread out, but this doesn’t at all.
With ingredients like Proteasyl, botanical peptides, hyaluronic acid, green tea and aloe vera, the serum helps to combat wrinkles, expression lines, dehydration and dull, tired skin. Basically an all-rounder when it comes to anti-ageing.
Another soap-free formulation with no nasties, this is a GORGEOUS shower gel. It has the same delicious scent as the facial cleansing gel, and foams up nicely when rubbed between my hands.
I love that even the body products contain Proteasyl, so I’m actually giving the skin on my body a treatment too. Along with Proteasyl, it contains organic white willow bark extract to help soften and smooth skin, organic green tea and witch hazel.
Definitely a shower gel I’d repurchase, and it’d be a great gift for a beauty lover, with the body butter you’ll see next.
OH MY GOODNESS. Probably one of the best body butters I have ever used to date. It’s also more affordable than my beloved ones from The Body Shop, with added anti-ageing goodness!
This body butter has a gorgeous scent from the combination of neroli, geranium and ylang ylang, and the formula is out of this world. I mentioned this in my monthly favourites I did Live on Instagram recently (you’ll find it saved in my IGTV tab). Organic marula oil and avocado oil are blended with the beautiful essential oils and Proteasyl.
This is one of the least-greasy body butters I’ve ever used, but in the same breath it’s also one of the most hydrating. It sinks in like a dream (you can feel it melting in), but it leaves behind a protective layer of goodness to keep skin feeling soft and smooth. I can’t describe just how good it is – you need to try it for yourself.
I only received this in the last couple of weeks, and I’m already halfway through the tub. I’ve had to force myself to slow down.
This is the face cream that Hubby has been putting through it’s paces. Not only does it have SPF in it (something that he won’t wear, even when I beg), but it’s extremely hydrating while not being greasy. He also commented that a little bit goes a long way – and to try and avoid facial hair as it’s difficult to get it out. Other than that, he’s extremely happy with it, and it’s the perfect face cream for men with dry skins, but for anyone in the drier winter weather.
