As I’m sure you know by now, I’m a big fan of the Optiphi brand. I was introduced to it this year, and I have no idea why I was living under a rock for so long!
I was booked in for an Optiphi facial at M.E.G. Skin & Body Experts in July, where I met with the wonderful Shana. She gave me the most WONDERFUL facial, and I left there feeling like a movie star – that glow, that hydration, that feeling of soft baby-butt skin! So when I was invited for a follow-up Optiphi facial, I JUMPED at the chance.
YOU CAN READ ALL ABOUT MY FIRST FACIAL, AND MY INTRODUCTION TO THE OPTIPHI BRAND HERE.
So – while Shana had definitely helped my terrible dehydration and impaired barrier (I’ve been so rigorous in using my Optiphi Hydra-Derm HA Masque several times a week), I had a few new issues with my skin that had cropped up: –
- I had the same breakouts happening on and off on my neck – but Shana had mentioned that was from stress and my body running on adrenaline. While we know what it’s from, I can’t really prevent it until I get myself on a supplement to help my body cope with the effects of said stress. Shana has suggested Tibb Completone, but I’ve been naughty and haven’t gone and bought it (everytime I DO look, it’s sold out – shows it must be good).
- I have had congested skin on my chin and forehead, with a number of under-the-skin bumps and spots popping up like crazy.
- My forehead and chin especially have had a lot of texture. I don’t often get issues with my forehead skin (other than my pesky frowning lines), so this was new for me.
I’d also recently started using the new, advanced formula of the Optiphi Complexion Control, which is designed to brighten skin and target dark spots and uneven skin tone. I have hormonal pigmentation around my eyes (over a decade on the contraceptive pill is a killer), and I suffer from post-inflammatory pigmentation – when I get spots, they always leave little marks behind, sometimes they disappear after a few months, but more often than not they linger unless I treat them.
I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but head on over to my YouTube video below, and you can see exactly what Shana had to say about the current state of my skin – why it’s been acting up, what I can do to help it and WHAT SHE DID TO FIX IT!
As per usual, Shana tailored the whole facial to suit my skin and it’s needs – she does this for every client, and she is PHENOMENAL at what she does. I arrived with meh skin, and left feeling like I was glowing from within. She is so lovely, she explained everything to me and I feel like I’m visiting a friend for a catch up whenever I’m there.
