October is always a super busy month for me, mostly due to the fact that it’s both my Mom and my Hubby’s birthday month. My family have always gone all-out for birthdays, and while my Mom is SUPER easy to buy for, my Hubs is not. I can always think of a few little things to buy him – his favourite bamboo socks from Woolworths, some new work pants, some of his favourite chocolate – but when it comes to a proper gift, I battle! So, with it being his birthday week (his birthday is on Sunday!), I put together a Gift Guide For Men. Something you can ALL use for birthdays, Christmas, or just because.
1.Old Khaki Men’s Slim Fit checked shirt R299 – this is on sale right now (marked down from R425) and is such a nice shirt for summer.
2.Adidas Nizza CQ2332 sneakers R714 – I feel like you can’t really go wrong with a good pair of sneakers for men. They will always wear them, and Superbalist always has fab specials on selected items. Right now, these are on a 35% off offer! You can take a look at their other sneakers online HERE.
3.Havaianas flip flops R349 – this is honestly one of the most comfortable brands of slops, and they really do last well. So worth the price if your man lives in open shoes.
4.Puma Training Mesh Cap R599 – I can imagine this would be amazing for the gents who love golf, as in our hot summers they’d need a cap that would be cool and dry quickly.
5.Brave Soul Daley Swim Shorts R249 – my Hubs isn’t big on patterns and lots of colours, so I know this simple style of swimming shorts would appeal to him.
6.Puma Suede Classic R1039 – another really nice pair of sneakers, and also currently on offer on Superbalist.
7.Adidas Adicolour Washed Cap R265 – Hubs loves his caps, and I think this one would be a winner. Superbalist also have a number of great caps on offer right now, check out their other caps online HERE.
8.Men’s ASICS Springbok Fan Jersey R769 – with the current World Cup madness, this would be a killer gift if your man has a birthday coming up this month.
1.Superbalist Retro Sunglasses R199 – a simple pair of sunnies is a great gift, and if your man is one of those that loses or breaks sunglasses constantly, this pair won’t set you back.
2.Bobums single gym towel R149 – a super soft, absorbent gym towel with a pocket for your keys, gym card and cell phone is a great gift for the muscle men.
3.Typo 3m Charge & Sync cable R239 – this may not look like an exciting gift, but extra length cables are ALWAYS a hit for my Hubs and my dad.
4.Woolworths Double Loop Leather Belt R299 – a good leather belt is always a great gift for your gent.
5.Man Stand Organiser & Charging Station R749 – my Hubs is a little obsessive in being organised, so something like this would be right up his alley, and I’m sure a lot of men would agree! Something to keep all their bits and pieces together AND charge their phone on.
6.Kaliber Damascus Collectors Edition Large knife R1999 – boys will always love their toys, and knives and other weapons form a large part of this.
7.Jekyll & Hide Leather Travel Bag R6999 – a splurgey spoil, but a good quality leather travel bag is a great gift for a business man who travels a lot, and should stand the test of time too.
8.AudioPro Addon t3 Bluetooth Speaker R2589 – a good quality bluetooth speaker is a great gift for the guy who loves music (and let’s be honest, they all do).
9.Emporio Armani wrap-around sunglasses R1790 – as I mentioned already, a very nice, simple pair of sunglasses is a winner.
1.Glenmorangie Lasanta 12 Year R599 – I tasted this at the Wade Bales Wine & Whisky affair, and it is sublime.
2.Steel Bullet Whisky Stones R395 – gimmicky? Yes. But definitely still very cool, and something for the gents who enjoy their drinks on the rocks.
3.Nachtmann Noblesse Crystal Whisky Decanter & Tumblers R1695 – for the men who have their own bar at home, this is a super luxe gift they can whip out on special occasions.
4.Six Dogs XO Pot Still Brandy R1499 – this brandy from the makers of some of the best craft gin in South Africa, is sure to be a goodie for the man who loves his brandy, but still enjoys craft beverages.
5.Woolworths Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel truffles R54.99 – a decadent gift for any man who harbours a sweet tooth.
6.Lindt Fruit Sensations Raspberry & Cranberry R64.99 – if you’re looking for something small, but still special, then the Fruit Sensations from Lindt are always a winner.
7.Jack Daniels Single Barrel R625 – my Hubs LOVES bourbon, so this would be such a treat for him! I’m sure there are many other men out there who enjoy bourbon too.
8.League of Beers Taste Belgium gift pack R199 – this is such a thoughtful gift for a beer drinker, something unique and with variety.
Did you see anything here you’d like to buy for the man in your life – husband, boyfriend, father, brother or friend?
