So I love Halloween.  Granted, I love any theme.  I think I just love dressing up, or doing weird and wonderful makeup?!

I’ve been browsing a lot of great Halloween makeup tutorials on YouTube lately.  I love how there is so much variety, and I really wish I could try them all, but time is always against me.  Time and day time lighting, as I have a full-time day job that I have to work around.

So, today I’ve gathered the best tutorials I’ve found so far, and listed them here for your enjoyment!

JACK SPARROW HALLOWEEN MAKEUP BY SHONAGH SCOTT

Shonagh Scott gives you step by step instructions for how to do everything, from darkening the skin and making it look a little older and weather-beaten, to attaching the braids in his beard.  Easy peasy and super effective!

WONDER WOMAN COMIC ART TUTORIAL BY NIKKIE TUTORIALS

I absolutely LOVE Nikkie Tutorials.  She’s so lovely and seems so down to earth, yet her talent is out of this world.  I love this take on Wonder Woman – where it’s more of a pop art, comic book look.  Something a little fun and different, but not super crazy.

MESMERISING MERMAID TUTORIAL BY MAKEUPBYALLI

For those gals who like a pretty makeup look for Halloween rather than a gruesome one, this is for you!  I love that she’s used teeny little starfish and bits of shell.  Most people just go crazy with diamante’s and pearls, but this looks a little more ‘authentic’.

EASY & GLAM GLOSSY SKULL BY CHLOE MORELLO

I absolutely love Chloe Morello!  She’s gorgeous, hilarious and does some super easy to follow tutorials like this.  This is totally what I’ve been looking at for Halloween this year for myself.

MELTING SKULL TUTORIAL BY DESI PERKINS

I think this was actually from last year.  I loved this look, as it looks super gruesome with the skull and melting skin, yet super glam at the same time!

And finally – if you’re super keen on SFX and all the gore that comes with it, check out Freakmo’s channel.  She’s an SFX artist, and shows you how to create the prosthetics and apply them.  She does some INCREDIBLE work, and I’d love to be as talented as her, but sadly I need a lot more practise and a much bigger kit.  Here are some examples of her work: –
