I love watching videos and reading posts by other bloggers and YouTubers, where I get to see what they keep in their makeup bags. It’s like snooping around someone’s handbag and seeing what makeup they deem good enough to keep close to them at all times!
I change the contents of my little makeup bag quite often – not daily, as nobody got time for that, but every few days or so I’ll change up a lipstick or a blush. Basically though, the items stay the same, it’s just a colour that gets changed.
Now keep in mind – none of these products are going to look perfect or brand spanking new as they’re kept in my makeup bag a great deal of the time, so there’s a little wear and tear on them. I like to think of it as smile lines on my goodies, it shows they’re well loved and used often 😉
Typo pencil case – similar HERE
Yes this is technically a pencil case, but I use it as my makeup bag! I love the pretty glitter and it fits everything I need in it nicely. This one is looking a little worn on the edges though so it’s probably time for a new one. Typo here I come!
I’ve been enjoying these blotting papers (despite the huge spelling error on the packaging). I wish I could find blotting sheets in a plastic case rather, as any cardboard ones look lovely when you buy them, but end up looking so tatty.
I must admit, I prefer the Essence All About Matt! Oil Control Paper, as they’re not so powdery feeling, but they hadn’t had any in stock for ages. I’ve seen they’re now a permanent item though so I’m really happy about that.
Catrice Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Waterproof Concealer in 020 Light Beige
Great concealer that’s super easy to blend out? Here it is! Fantastic coverage and it’s waterproof too. Only problem is it’s hardly ever in stock, so when it is I grab two.
Revlon Colorstay Two-Way Powder Foundation in 115 Buff (similar HERE)
I bought this as it was on the sale shelf at Dischem – cheaper than the regular Revlon powders too. It’s not quite the right colour for me, but it does the job and lasts well. I probably wouldn’t repurchase it, though that’s not a problem as I don’t think this shade is in stock anymore anyway!
Milani Baked Powder Blush in Luminoso
Super gorgeous and flattering blush. It looks quite orangey in the pan, but once it’s blended in, it gives you a glow and blush all in one, and even contours your cheeks slightly. It’s a great all in one product to keep on hand, so this is usually the blush that I’ll keep in my makeup bag.
Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Extreme Plump XL gloss
My mom grabbed this for me when she was in Dublin a while back, and while I wasn’t much of a gloss fan then, I’ve really grown to love this. It gives a fizzing and buzzing feeling to your lips, and they really do look plumper. You can see that this lives in my handbag or makeup bag.
Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil
My lovely friend Camilla from Jane Wonder bought me this as a gift for my wedding skincare prep. It’s so nourishing on the lips and feels lovely to apply. I actually wear it as a gloss during the day if I don’t have a mirror on my to touch up lipstick. Smells like sweeties too!
Lancôme L’absolu Rouge Lipstick mini in 06 Rose Nu
On a very recent trip to Gateway, my mom, best friend and I got sucked into the Lancôme counter. Mom ended up buying a mascara from them that came with this lipstick. It isn’t really a shade she’d wear, so she gave it to me knowing I’d put it to better use. Really pretty, rosy nude colour.
I’ve posted about this baby already. The most perfect shade of nude in a glossy, creamy formula. Perfect shade to just keep in my makeup bag for touch ups. All hail Fleur de Force!
Here are some swatches of the colour products for you: –
Do you own any of these products? What is your one makeup bag staple?
the concealers seems a good products for the price! I might give it a try!
It’s fabulous and better than some much more expensive concealers too! x
Looove this post! I need to do one too 😉 So happy you’re happy with the Clarins Lip Oil xxx
