I know this is getting beyond cliche now, but I can’t quite get my mind to grasp the fact that it’s officially November already. This year has flown by!
There are a ton of favourites this month – I couldn’t quiet narrow it down, as I’ve used these products CONSISTENTLY since buying them, or just throughout the month of October in general.
Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water R84.95
I first tried the Micellar Oil wipes from this range, and loved them so so much! I’ve used the regular Micellar Cleansing Water from Garnier, and it’s been my favourite for a long time. Something about this oil based version just really impresses me though. It’s very sensitive on eyes, gets ALL of my makeup off, and leaves my skin feeling soft and not stripped. I do follow this up with a regular cleanser, but this is the most amazing makeup remover. I have been known to be naughty and use this to take my makeup off, and then gone over with more on clean cotton rounds as a ‘second cleanse’ when I’m lazy or very tired.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream R139.95
I’ve heard so much from overseas about this Gel-Cream and the Water Gel. I got hold of the Gel-Cream, hoping it would be a MUCH more affordable dupe for my Clarins Hydraquench Cream, and it is! It works just as well for me, at a fraction of the cost. It also isn’t sticky or too oily on my combination skin in the summer heat, which is a huge plus.
Darling Jane Fresh Peppermint Face Scrub R29
I received this little tub of freshness in my September Bellebox. I was a little hesitant to use such a granular and menthol scrub on my face, but my sensitive skin loves it! I very gently massage it into my skin and rinse it off, and it leaves my face soft, smooth and nourished from the grape seed oil. PLUS it’s on sale for R29 on their site at the moment!?!?!
Esse Gel Cleanser R200
I went for an Esse skincare facial at Hidden Gem Organic Skincare and this cleanser was used on me, and I was given a sample of it to take home. I have been using the sample sachet and the travel size tube I got, and have loved it. While I usually prefer cream or balm cleansers, this gel smells so deliciously of essential oils and leaves my skin feeling super clean, but not stripped and tight. I think I’m going to be buying the full size of this when I’ve worked my way through my current cleansers.
Palladio Rice Paper blotting sheets R69.95
I used to use the Essence blotting sheets, but they no longer seem to be available. I have no clue where else to get blotting sheets from, so grabbed these Palladio ones even though I wasn’t too keen as they had powder on them as well. These work amazingly well and help to skip powdering after blotting. I just blot any areas that are looking a little shiny, and take a powder brush and brush any excess powder off. Works like a charm!
Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day setting spray in Lavender R320
My Urban Decay Chill setting spray was running low, so I bought this bottle off the 27Pinkx site a while back. For some reason, I paid this amount for the 100ml bottle, yet they’re charging it for the mini 30ml bottle now?? Anyway, this is a fantastic setting spray and it works well BUT I wish I’d gone for the Green Tea scent. The Lavender scent is VERY strong and it is quite overpowering. I’ll be finishing this up because it works so well, but if I repurchase it’ll be a different scent.
Essence Make Me Brow brow mascaras in 01 and 02 R54.95
I’ve actually been using only this brow mascara on a daily basis, and saving my other brow products for evening and weekends. I have used this product for so long in the shade 02, but lately I’ve been doing that shade on the tails of my brows, and the lighter shade on the front. It gives a really nice effect!
Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Body Buttercream £10
I bought this in a Boots haul a while ago and have been loving it. It has the same delicious pistachio, almond and sweet vanilla scent as the Whipped Clean shower butter, and it’s light but nourishing on the skin.
Zoella Sweet Inspirations Fragranced Body Mist £8
This is a sad tale. This gorgeous glass bottle of sweet macaron scented body mist was in a little Superdrug haul I did, as I was desperate to have it. It was everything I wanted it to smell like and so much more. Then, I dropped it on the tiles of my office floor one day, putting it back in my handbag. RIP to the almost brand-new bottle of body mist (queue sobs). Luckily I also got the matching-scented Double Creme Body Lotion, so I still have that gorgeous smell to tide me over
John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Visibly Deeper Shampoo and Conditioner R110 each
I was sent these two products by Beauty Bulletin to review, and I absolutely LOVE them. They’re light enough for my fine hair, yet nourish my damaged ends. They have also helped out with keeping my colour looking fresh, and vibrant. Such a good product to try out.
What products were you loving during the month of October?
xx
I love Esse product! The setting spray sounds amazing.
It's a great setting spray but the scent is SO strong!
Hey hun. How did you order from Boots? I can't find delivery to SA from their site. Am i missing something or did you do something special? Thanks 🙂 xx
I replied to your comment on my latest post with the answer – I use Aramex Global Shopper. They're quite pricey to sign up for as it's usually $60 I think, but I signed up for them when Pink Peonies had a discount code and only paid $10! You can use them for Colourpop too, and I've tried with Sephora but it never works *boo
Thanks so much!!
