Aaaah Dischem.

The love I have for this store, and it’s contents will never end.  I can literally spend hours walking around, browsing shelves for new products, testing out swatches of lipsticks in the makeup department, sniffing new launches of shower gels and body lotions.

My boyfriend finds it hilarious how long I can spend in Dischem, or how I can go in ‘just for cotton rounds’ and come out with around 8 items.  For a makeup junkie/beauty products addict like me, Dischem (and Clicks for that matter) are some of my favourite stores to go into, and they often have specials and promotions on that are there to enable me to spend spend SPEND.  Luckily, with the Beauty Fair, if you play your cards right, you can save save SAVE!

The current Beauty Fair is on until the 4 September, so it even falls over payday.  I know that I’ve been lusting over a lot of products, and so I’ve gone through the brochure several dozen times, making notes of what I’d like to buy, or what I just think are darn good deals.  If you’d like to check out the full Beauty Fair Brochure, click HERE.

Buy pre-packed 50 ml Day Cream, and you get a free travel size 15ml Night Cream and 30ml Cleanser.

I’ve been eyeing up the new Multi-Active Day and Night creams, so this would be a great way of trying them both out, as they are on the pricier side.

Clarins Multi-Active Day cream 50ml R585.

3 for 2 on all Nivea Face products *cheapest item is free*

There is such a wide range of Nivea face products, that you’re spoilt for choice.  I have sensitive skin, and I’ve never had an issue with Nivea, I use some of their skincare, and so does my boyfriend.  So 3 for 2 specials on them are fantastic!

Nivea Mens Sensitive Post Shave Balm 100ml R79.95 (I use this as a primer!)
Nivea Q10 Plus Energy Serum 40ml R139
Nivea Q10 Plus Energising Day Cream SPF15 50ml R139
*So you’d get the Post Shave Balm free*

3 for 2 on Neutrogena Face Products *cheapest item is free*

Same as the Nivea, I use one or two Neutrogena products.  I’ve been using their Ageless Intensives Anti-Wrinkle Night cream, and have loved it, so this is the perfect opportunity to try out the other two products in the line.

*These are all the same price, so you’d be just paying for two products, and getting the third free*

3 for 2 on L.A. Girl or Palladio products *cheapest item is free*

These two brands often have a 3 for 2 special on, and it’s the best time to make purchases from them.  I love the L.A. Girl Pro BB cream and their Matte lipstips, and the Palladio Herbal Primer and Velvet Matte lip colour are also great.

3 for 2 on Garnier Face Care and Deodorant *cheapest item is free*

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is a staple product in my skincare routine.  Although it’s incredibly affordable already, a 3 for 2 special is a great time to stock up.  Garnier have also just released their Micellar Oil-infused Cleansing Water here in South Africa as well, along with their Micellar Oil-infused Wipes.  I’ve tried the wipes and they’re dynamite!  They remove my makeup and leave my skin feeling super clean, but soft and nourished at the same time.  Their regular Micellar Extra-Gentle Wipes are also great.

Garnier Micellar Oil-infused Cleansing Water 400ml R69.95
Garnier Micellar Oil-infused Wipes 25 pack R49.95
Garnier Micellar Extra-Gentle Wipes 25 pack R52.95
*Oil-infused Wipes would then be free*

Buy any Freeman Mask Tube 150ml R92.95 and get a FREE facial mask sachet worth R27.95

Freeman masks are amazing – they have so many variations from clay to peel-off, to exfoliating, to overnight.  They all work wonders, and are super affordable.  You can get most of the range of tubes in a sachet form, which can give you 1-4 uses at home.  Great for trying it out before buying the full-size product.

Pomegranate Revealing Peel-Off Mask (both in tube and sachet) R92.95
Clay Mask Chocolate & Strawberry (tube only) R92.95
Diamond Mineral Rinse Mask (sachet only) R27.95
Honeydew and Chamomile Sleeping Mask (sachet only) R27.95

Buy any two Bioderma products, and receive a Photoderm Sun Bag and a Sensibio H2O Micellar Solution 100ml.

Bioderma is a fantastic brand – they made micellar water the must-have skincare item that it is today – a bottle of Bioderma Sensibio H2O is sold every 3 seconds worldwide!!!! I’ve used many of the products from their Sensibio range, as well as some of their sunscreens, and they’re all amazing quality.

Buy any 2 Vaseline lotions/creams/sprays and swipe your Dischem Benefit Card to stand a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip for 2 to Bali worth R50 000

As if the amazing quality of Vaseline lotions and creams weren’t good enough, now you can win a getaway just by buying them and swiping your Dischem card!  I always go back to these babies, and recently introduced the boyfriend to them – he loves them too.  I love the Cocoa Glow for winter and the Aloe Soothe for summer.

I’ve been itching to give the spray lotions a bash too, so this is just the universe’s way of giving me that extra push 😉

L’oreal are probably one of my absolute favourite drugstore brands.  I use their Infallible 24hr Matte foundation almost daily, I love their Miss Manga mascara, their lipsticks are fabulous and so are their eyeshadows.

3 for 2 on all Dove products *cheapest item is free*

Dove body care is good stuff.  Even better is their Purely Pampering range.  Now they have just released the Coconut milk with Jasmine Petals body wash and beauty bar.

I love all these decadent scents, and coconut is one of my favourite scents ever.  So it’s a given that I’ll be trying out these two products, and maybe a bottle of the Purely Pampering Shea Butter with Warm Vanilla body lotion… you know.. just because.

Dove Purely Pampering Coconut Milk Nourishing Body Was 250ml R28.95
Dove Purely Pampering Coconut Milk Beauty Bar 100g R8.95
Dove Purely Pampering Shea Butter Body Lotion 250ml R37.95
*not the best example as you’re only getting the R8.95 free, but you’re still getting something free!*

These aren’t all the goodies that are on special for the Beauty Fair, but these are the ones that grabbed my attention.

What will you be getting at the Dischem Beauty Fair?

*DISCLAIMER*  These are not in any way my photos, I have taken photos from the various websites, just to show you what kind of delightful goodies are on special.
